Job summary

Explore Group is hiring a Ruby on Rails Engineer (Full Stack) in London. You will own end-to-end development across APIs, databases, and frontend integration, helping to scale our web apps and backend services in a hybrid London-based role.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of Rails experience, hands-on with AI tooling, strong CI/CD practices, and solid database knowledge (MongoDB, PostgreSQL). Excellent communication in a distributed team is essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' commercial Ruby on Rails experience.
• Hands-on with AI engineering tools in a team setting.
• Solid CI/CD and modern dev workflow experience.
• Database chops, ideally MongoDB and PostgreSQL.
• Strong communicator, comfortable in a remote/distributed team.

Looking for a strong Rails engineer to help build and scale our web applications and backend services. Full-stack role, real ownership, working across APIs, databases, and front-end integration.

What you'll bring:

• 3+ years' commercial Ruby on Rails experience
• Hands-on with AI engineering tools (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor) in a team setting
• Solid CI/CD and modern dev workflow experience
• Database chops, ideally MongoDB and PostgreSQL
• Strong communicator, comfortable in a remote/distributed team

Bonus points if you've worked with health assessments or medical testing, but not essential.
