Job description

We are looking to recruit a Band 4 RTT/Patient Pathway Validator at The Hillingdon Hospital and Mount Vernon Hospital.

RTT Validators are responsible for validating patient pathways across the entire Trust PTL to ensure accurate and robust information to support performance reporting, high data quality, and effective management of patients' RTT pathways.

The Trust is undergoing significant changes in collecting 18-week information through a new Data Information System, including a Patient Tracking List (PTL), a Patient Administration System (PAS) upgrade, and process changes.

This will impact staff involved in 18-week data collection, inpatient, outpatient, and administrative staff. This post will support the change process, ensuring sustainable processes for maintaining high-quality RTT data and managing RTT wait times effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Support validation during the PAS upgrade and while Divisional and Medical Records processes are embedded.
  2. Assist in developing, implementing, and monitoring compliance with processes and procedures for an effective RTT Validation Team.
  3. Plan, prioritize, and allocate work packages for team members.
  4. Assist in induction for new team members.
  5. Provide specialist RTT knowledge and support to team members and Booking teams.
  6. Coordinate team work to meet validation volume and accuracy targets within timescales.
  7. Utilize advanced Cerner, NHS eReferral Service (eRS), and other electronic referral systems to interpret and translate RTT pathway data for accurate KPI submissions.
