Job Details
  • £17.72 per hour
  • 30 hours per week
Purpose of the Job

To provide a range of business support activities to enable the service to meet its statutory obligations and deliver timely and effective services to children, young people, their families, and carers.

Main Activities & Responsibilities
  1. Act as the first point of contact for service users, staff from partner organisations, and colleagues, and determine the most effective way to progress matters.
  2. Provide advice to service users to help them access services from Children’s Services and partners.
  3. Progress work activities within specific projects and tasks delegated by the Team Manager to contribute to the effectiveness of the service.
  4. Collect and prepare performance data related to service activities. Initiate work such as case file audits to support service scrutiny.
  5. Undertake specific projects and tasks including investigation, research, and data collation.
  6. Handle administrative work supporting the service, including drafting documents, writing minutes, preparing PowerPoint presentations, handling enquiries, and organising meetings.
  7. Maintain personal and professional development to meet changing job demands, participate in training, and support staff development.
  8. Perform other duties, training, or hours of work as reasonably required, consistent with the responsibilities of the role.
  9. Undertake health and safety duties as appropriate for the role and as detailed in the Directorate’s Health and Safety policies.
