Job summary

Angard Staffing seeks detail-oriented, energetic people to join our team as flexible (temporary) Mail Sorters with Royal Mail. You’ll help keep the country moving by handling mail and parcels in a busy postal operation.

Shifts run seven days a week, with a minimum of 4 hours and up to 12 hours. Early, Late and Night shift patterns pay £15.14–£16.44 per hour depending on the shift. No experience is required as training is provided, with lifting up to 11kg and moving heavy trolleys expected.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse or sorting work is a plus.
• No previous experience needed; training provided.
• Able to stand and walk for long periods.
• Able to push trolleys up to 250kg.
• Flexible with weekends and different shift patterns.

Angard Staffing is looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our team as flexible(temporary)Mail Sorters with Royal Mail.

Whether you're looking to gain experience or take on a new challenge, this is your chance to be part of a team that helps keep the country moving.

Shifts are available any day of the week, from Monday to Sunday, and vary depending on operational needs.

All shifts are a minimum of 4 hours, with the potential to extend up to 12 hours.

We operate across three main shift patterns:

Early Shifts: Typically start between 05:00 and 14:00.

Late Shifts: Typically start between14:00 to 22:00.

Night Shifts: Typically start between22:00 to 05:00.

Please note that shift times may vary slightly by location and role. Flexibility is essential, and candidates should be prepared to work across different shift patterns, including weekends, where required.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Mail Sorter, you’ll be at the heart of our operations:

• Unloading mail and parcels
• Sorting items by postcode and moving them through the warehouse
• Working efficiently to meet tight deadlines – some teams sort over a million items in a single shift!

You’ll also be expected to handle election materials and certain items (such as food products or alcohol) in line with Royal Mail business standards.

What We’re Looking For

You don’t need to have worked for us before (we love new people!), but experience in warehouse or sorting work is a plus.

Pay & Shifts

The table below outlines the pay rates applicable for Mail Sorter roles within our Mail Centres and Parcel Hubs. The rates displayed are payable for the entirety of your shift where the shift description criteria are met.

Rates could be subject to change during busy periods, Angard staffing will communicate any change to your pay rates in advance.

• Day Shift: Starts and finishes between 05:31–19:59. Pay rate is £15.14 per hour.
• Lates: Finishes between 21:40–01:59. Pay rate is £15.14 per hour.
• Nights: Three hours across 23:00-05:00. Pay rate is £16.44 per hour.
