Job summary

Angard Recruitment is seeking Collections Drivers to join the Royal Mail team in local communities. This flexible (temporary) role involves collecting mail and parcels, on foot or by vehicle, with shifts across the day.

Pay rates range from £13.69 to £16.44 per hour, depending on shift designation. Applicants should have a full manual driving licence (max 6 points) and be prepared for active days outdoors.

• Be prepared to walk 20,000 steps a day and carry a bag weighing up to 16kg.
• Shifts can vary, so we need team players who can adapt at short notice.

Your Role

As a Collections Driver, you’ll be the friendly face of Royal Mail in your local area. You’ll collect mail and parcels from designated locations, ensuring timely and secure handling of all items. Whether on foot or behind the wheel, you’ll play a vital role in keeping the country connected.

Important to Know

While some roles involve driving, this role also requires you to be on foot, collecting letters and parcels directly within the community. This is a great opportunity for those who enjoy being outdoors and staying active throughout the day.

Pay & Shifts

The table below outlines the pay rates applicable for roles within our Delivery Offices. The rates displayed are payable for the entirety of your shift where the shift description criteria is met.

Rates could be subject to change during busy periods, Angard staffing will communicate any change to your pay rates in advance.

Shift - Shift Description = Pay Rate

• Day Shift - Starts and finishes between 05:31 and 19:59 = £13.69 per hour
• Dawn Shift - Starts between 02:01 and 04:00 = £14.61 per hour
• Early Shift (05:00 Start) - Starts between 04:01 and 05:00 = £14.61 per hour
• Early Shift (05:30 Start) - Starts between 05:01 and 05:30 = £14.61 per hour
• Evening Shift - Finishes between 20:00 and 21:39 = £14.38 per hour
• Late Shift - Finishes between 21:40 and 01:59 = £15.14 per hour
• Night Shift - Three hours across 23:00 and 05:00 = £16.44 per hour
