About us

We are Pegasus Homes, a vibrant, dynamic business proud to design, build, and create high-quality homes with a focus on independent later living. Our developments offer stunning community living for those over sixty.

We are seeking an experienced Property/General Manager with relevant residential property, block management, or luxury later-living experience to join us on a fixed-term contract.

About our role

Internally known as a General Manager, this role supports three developments in Bristol, Cheltenham, and Bath. You will facilitate the community of owners and renters, coordinate a small team, and work closely with our Buildings and Communities Manager to ensure smooth operations.

You will build professional relationships with residents and their families, ensuring homes are ready for move-in, maintenance services are effective, and records are up to date. Engagement with residents, contractors, and potential customers to maintain high standards and deliver a five-star service is key.

Key responsibilities include

  1. Managing day-to-day operations of the developments, liaising with your team, internal departments, stakeholders, and contractors.
  2. Implementing standard operating procedures across all areas including wellness, guest accommodation, and customer service.
  3. Leading health and safety management and ensuring compliance.
  4. Supporting financial management, including budgets and service charges.
  5. Enhancing the customer journey through planning home demonstrations, operational efficiencies, and collaborating with Sales and Marketing.
  6. Fostering community engagement through resident meetings, events, and initiatives.
  7. Managing service contractors to meet standards.
  8. Building relationships with local neighbours and services to improve owner experience and community integration.

While initially a 4-6 month fixed-term contract, there is potential for extension or permanence. The role requires 24-32 hours weekly, likely split into 8-hour shifts across 3-4 days, including occasional weekends. You will be based near your home development with mileage reimbursement for travel.

About you

To succeed, you should have experience as a General or Property Manager within the residential sector, preferably in luxury or high-end developments. Extensive management experience, health & safety implementation, facilities management, and financial acumen are essential. Excellent communication and IT skills are required, with experience in Google Workspace advantageous. A full UK driving license and own vehicle are mandatory.
