Job summary

Fugro is seeking an ROV Pilot Technician to pilot, maintain, and operate Remotely Operated Vehicles across UK North Sea projects. You will contribute to renewables, oil and gas, survey support, light construction, and drill‑support operations, gaining exposure to diverse offshore environments.

Role requires offshore willingness, ability to work on vessels and platforms, and a strong commitment to safety and teamwork within Fugro’s Geo-data team.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working as an ROV Pilot Technician at offshore worksites.
• Strong understanding of mobilisations, operations, and fault-finding for work-class and eyeball ROVs.
• Nationally recognised technical or trade qualification in electrical/electronics/hydraulics/mechanics.
• Willingness to work offshore for extended periods.
• Willingness to work on vessels and platforms.

Responsibilities

• Pilot, maintain, and operate ROV systems and tooling.
• Assist with launch and recovery of the ROV system ensuring safe deployment and retrieval.
• Support technical operations and conduct pre-/post-dive inspections.
• Collaborate with the ROV team and project personnel on-site.
• Prioritise Health, Safety, and the Environment in all tasks.

Workscopes are varied and include renewables, oil and gas, survey support, light construction, and drill‐support operations, giving you exposure to diverse offshore environments and technical challenges.
