Job summary

Royal Mail Group is seeking a Collection & Delivery Driver at Southampton Mail Centre. This fixed-term role runs for 12 months with a 30-hour week across Tue–Sat on various shifts. You will plan routes, collect and deliver parcels, and scan items to keep customers informed.

Full UK driving licence required, with potential overtime and weekend work. We offer an hourly rate of £13.68, monthly pay, and benefits including paid holiday and pension.

Qualifications

• Valid UK driving licence with up to 6 penalty points.
• Self-motivated, reliable and able to work unsupervised.
• Experience with multi-drop parcel delivery is preferred but not essential.
• Flexible to overtime, including Saturdays, to meet delivery targets.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Able to pass background and right-to-work checks.

Responsibilities

• Plan daily routes using route-planning tools.
• Collect and deliver parcels on designated routes to businesses.
• Scan items on/off route to update tracking information.
