Job summary

Royal Mail is seeking a Collection Driver at the London Delivery Office (SE10 0DP). This permanent role offers 30 hours per week across Monday to Saturday, with shifts from 13:30 to 19:30.

You will be part of a driver team delivering and collecting mail, supporting local communities and businesses, and ensuring timely routing and accuracy of mailbags.

The role requires a full UK driving licence and a courteous, reliable approach to customer service.

Qualifications

• Full UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
• Willingness to walk for long periods and work outdoors in all weathers.
• Strong communication and people skills.
• Flexible shift patterns and ability to work across Mon–Sat.
• Commitment to delivering high levels of customer service.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and collect mail along a fixed route, ensuring items reach the right place on time.
• Check post-boxes, visit post offices, and collect mail from customers as required.
• Sort mailbags and coordinate handovers to processing centres.
• Provide a courteous service and represent Royal Mail on the doorstep.
