Job description

We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with an interest in homelessness issues to join our busy rough sleeper team working to reduce street homelessness in the city. The post is offered on a fixed term contract until May 2026.

Job Description

The role will involve working closely with the rough sleeper co-ordinator; providing support with general administration tasks, maintaining records, managing data returns on rough sleeping, liaising with support agencies, monitoring referrals and contributing to the smooth day to day running of the team.

Skills Required

The post-holder will need excellent IT and customer service skills, enjoy working as part of a team and be able to manage their own workload.

This is a fast moving environment and the post-holder should be able to demonstrate a positive and flexible approach, have the ability to multi-task and work well under pressure.

The nature of the role requires a confident communicator with an excellent telephone manner and strong inter-personal skills.

Educational Requirements

Previous experience of working in an office environment is not necessary, but a good level of numeracy and literacy will be required as will an understanding of the issues that affect our client group.
