Job summary

The Christie NHS FT in Manchester is seeking a Radiographer to join its radiotherapy team. The role offers extensive induction, training and development within a Rotational post across proton and photon departments, working with anaesthetics, nursing and physics teams.

Fixed-term positions are available with potential to become permanent. HCPC registration is required, with a salary band of £32,073–£39,043 pro rata per year and 37.5 hour weeks.

Qualifications

• DCR(T), BSc(Hons) or PGDip in Therapeutic Radiography.
• HCPC registration is required.
• Evidence of clinical placements to demonstrate experience.
• Experience with ISO 9001/2008 or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Ensure complex radiotherapy and imaging equipment is safe and accurate to operate; perform machine checks and report variances.
• Evaluate delivery of radiotherapy through treatment verification procedures.
• Position patients accurately and operate radiotherapy and imaging equipment along the pathway.
• Keep accurate records and comply with policies and procedures.
