We welcome applications from current Band 6s and experienced Band 5s with a passion for respiratory physiotherapy, with experience in acute care across multiple specialities, who are motivated to learn and progress. Clinical support will be provided by senior staff, with a dedicated mentor.
Candidates should:
Have a BSc, MSc or Grad Dip in Physiotherapy, be HCPC registered, have great communication & interpersonal skills.
Be able to provide a comprehensive Physiotherapy service to patients with a wide range of cardio-respiratory conditions in all settings.
Be able to build on developed Physiotherapy skills & consolidate specialist skills in cardiopulmonary Physiotherapy required to manage these patient groups via a 9 months rotational system.
Become part of our innovative team covering inpatient and outpatient services including our on-call, twilight and weekend working provision.
Rotations are in the following areas -- Transplant & Cardiac Surgery, Thoracic & PEA Surgery, Intensive Care Unit, Respiratory Medicine Wards and outpatient clinics (including Bronchiectasis, ILD, & Pulmonary Hypertension) and Cystic Fibrosis.
You will also gain experience in Respiratory Support Sleep Centre and cardiology services.

Regular one to ones, clinical supervision, appraisals, and competency support.
In house courses and access to external courses and conferences.
Involvement with expert multi-disciplinary teams.
Advanced skill teaching and support including ECMO rehabilitation, mechanical circulatory devices, nebulised drug challenges, tracheostomy weaning and decannulation.
Opportunity for service development projects.
Participation in audits and research.
Support and guidance for you to mentor students and junior staff.
