Job summary

Wirral University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is offering a Band 5 rotational physiotherapist post on fixed-term posts of varying length. The rotation covers MSK outpatients, trauma and orthopaedics, respiratory, surgical, medical, elderly care, paediatrics and neurology, with community rotations via Wirral Community Health and Care Trust.

The role includes a 12-month preceptorship with a named mentor and structured supervision, and a supportive environment to maintain CPD.”

Qualifications

• Graduate Diploma or BSc Physiotherapy, or equivalent recognised by the HCPC, or student with qualification pending.
• HCPC registration, or pending.
• Experience in NHS acute settings.
• Student placements in respiratory (including HDU/ICU), orthopaedics, MSK outpatients and neurological rehabilitation.

Responsibilities

• Rotate through physiotherapy in MSK outpatients, trauma and orthopaedics, respiratory, surgical, medical, care of the elderly, paediatrics and neurology
• Take part in rotations with Wirral Community Health and Care Trust covering transfer to assess and community rehabilitation
• Maintain a CPD portfolio
