Job summary

East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust in Blackburn is seeking a Band 5 Rotational Physiotherapist to join our dynamic teams on a rotational scheme. You will rotate every 4 months across services including Acute Medicine, CCU/ICU, Orthopaedics, MSK, Neurology, Stroke, Paediatrics, and Community settings, developing broad clinical experience.

The post offers mentoring, a preceptorship programme, and opportunities for ongoing professional development; you will participate in on-call rotas and weekend

Qualifications

• The successful candidate should demonstrate clear clinical reasoning.
• Must show evidence of recent learning and ongoing professional development.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Driver with access to a vehicle for work purposes.

Responsibilities

• Work as an autonomous practitioner in the assessment and management of patients.
• Maintain accurate records of assessment, treatment and progress.
• Organise clinical caseload with support from a Senior Physiotherapist.
• Communicate effectively with medical, nursing, therapy staff and other professionals to ensure coordinated care.
• Participate in the on-call rota and weekend work across services.
• Contribute to Clinical Governance and CPD within physiotherapy.
