Job summary

Swansea Bay University Health Board is seeking a Physiotherapist to manage a defined caseload across hospital and community settings, including home visits. You will contribute to the On Call rota and 7-day working pattern, while maintaining accurate clinical records.

You will develop professionally through the band 5 Development Programme and rotational scheme, gaining core competencies and experience across services in Swansea. Welsh language skills are desirable.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in physiotherapy is essential.
  • Knowledge and experience of working within the NHS.
  • Basic knowledge of clinical governance principles.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a defined caseload using evidence-based/client-centred practice in hospital, community settings and home visits.
  • Participate actively in the On Call rota and the 7-day working rota; maintain clinical records.
  • Develop skills through the band 5 Development Programme and competency framework.

Job description

Recently we have had many staff secure HEIW funding for post graduate study. We have strong relationships with the School of Health Science, and School of Medicine at Swansea University, both in terms of accessing post-grad courses, supporting research projects, and providing teaching and education to medical students. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply. Please note that you will need to be available for face to face interviews due to the type of interview process. Main duties of the job Main Duties: To manage a defined caseload, using evidence based /client centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions in hospital & community settings and on home visits. To be an active participant in the On Call rota and the 7-day working rota. To maintain clinical records and report accurately to others. To develop skills and knowledge through participation in the band 5 Development Programme and competency framework.
