Are you a forward-thinking Pharmacy Technician, a Pre-Registration Trainee Pharmacy Technician about to qualify, or currently re-registering with the GPhC? Are you looking for a challenge to develop your skills further while delivering high-quality, patient-focused services?
You will join the Pharmacy Department at Ninewells Hospital, Dundee, as part of the pharmacy technical team. Your primary responsibilities include supervising and training staff, managing daily workloads, overseeing pharmacy stocks, and ensuring the continuous availability of medicines for NHS Tayside patients. Your duties will encompass Pharmacy Technician responsibilities and rotations within the Pharmacy Distribution and Dispensing Centre (PDDC), Aseptic Dispensing Unit (ADU), Homecare, and clinical areas providing medicines management services.
You will support the pharmacy team in delivering effective services aligned with key performance indicators.
To be considered, you must be registered as a pharmacy technician with the GPhC, be a Pre-registration trainee due to qualify, or be undertaking re-registration with the GPhC in 2025. Applicants should be willing to train for the final accuracy check of dispensed medicines or already possess a recognised accuracy checking qualification.
Support will be available to complete the post-registration Vocational Framework for Pharmacy Technicians for your personal and professional development.
Hours of work are up to 37 hours per week over a 7-day schedule; applications for part-time work will be considered.
