Jobbeschreibung

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to work in Pharmacy but weren’t sure if you had the qualifications or experience to apply before? Well, if you have a positive attitude and a willingness to learn, we want to hear from you!

The NHS Fife Pharmacy & Medicines Service serves a population of approximately 380,000 people and is provided by an integrated team of around 200 Pharmacy staff, including Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, Support Staff, Nurses, and Administrators. The team works across Acute and Community hospital sites, General Practices, Mental Health services, and a range of specialist teams. Partnership working is at the core of our values, and we work closely with other members of the multi-disciplinary team, including our Community Pharmacy colleagues, to deliver the highest quality care for everyone in Fife.

To support delivery of our medicines supply service, we are looking for support staff to work in our Pharmacy Stores. No pharmacy experience is necessary as full training will be provided.

If you are enthusiastic, flexible, hard-working and love working in a team then you are our ideal candidate.

Working in the Pharmacy Stores, you will assist with the assembly of medicine orders, over-labeling of medicines, receipt of goods from suppliers, maintenance of stores stock, preparation of ward orders, ward top-up, answering the telephone, computer work and reception duties. We do need you to be physically able to lift and handle medicines including infusion boxes and you may spend most of the day on your feet.

You will be based at the Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy but will be required to work at both Queen Margaret Hospital, Dunfermline and Victoria Hospital Pharmacy Departments. To meet the needs of the service, you will work variable shifts between 08:00-18:00 Monday to Friday and participate in a weekend and public holiday rota.

Informal Enquiries: Corrie McNicol, Specialist Pharmacy Technician Stores and Distribution (01592 643355 Ext. 28938)
