Job summary

King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is offering a Band 5 rotational Occupational Therapy post. The role covers multiple units including A&E/AMU, Post Acute Medicine, Specialist Medicine, Surgery, Trauma and Orthopaedics, HASU, and Stroke Rehabilitation.

The post holder will manage a caseload of complex patients using evidence-based, client-centred practice to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions. A flexible approach and weekend commitments are required.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a complex caseload in an occupational therapy setting.
• Strong commitment to evidence-based practice and client-centred care.
• Ability to work within multidisciplinary teams and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organise and implement appropriate treatment programs.
• Complete and record risk assessments appropriately and act on this.
• Implement treatment within local guidelines and professional standards.
• Plan and implement individual and/or group interventions with clients and carers.
• Reflect on treatment and adapt as needed.
• Advise on aids, equipment and adaptations and recommend provisions.
• Communicate complex information to patients with barriers to understanding.
• Respect diversity and provide sensitive care respecting individuals' values and beliefs.
• Make clinical observations and keep accurate records per guidelines.
• Prepare clear assessment reports and recommendations for care.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary meetings and work autonomously.
