Overview

Rotational Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist - band 6, 1.4 WTE posts. We are expanding and ready to take applications from physiotherapists with MSK experience for a variety of roles. Want to take the next step in your career or develop your MSK skills? Here at NELFT we have a well established band 7/8a team including ESPs to support your development as a musculoskeletal physiotherapist. We offer a blended model of face to face and virtual clinics with the ability to spend 1 day working from home with laptop provided. Our small, friendly teams work across clinics in the London Boroughs of Havering and Barking and Dagenham. Interview will be in person - no virtual interviews will be offered for this post.

Responsibilities
  • To provide a high standard of assessment and diagnosis, based on clinical findings, develop and implement an individualised treatment programme in conjunction with the patient referred to the Physiotherapy Musculoskeletal Service.
  • Educate and train Junior and Student Physiotherapists, Physiotherapy Assistants and Support Workers.
  • To be an active member of the in-service training programme.
  • Maintain own competence through CPD.
  • To act as appraiser of junior staff, using the service appraisal model to facilitate staff development and the production of a PDP for the junior.
  • To maintain good professional standards of behaviour and appearance.
  • To undertake the collection of data for use in service audit, and departmental research initiatives.

The successful candidates will be highly organised individuals with excellent communication skills and a wide range of clinical experience. The ability to travel efficiently across the geographical area covered by NELFT is essential.

Starting with NELFT

NELFT places great importance on new starters being properly welcomed into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks, including mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process, new starters will also have the opportunity to meet the executive team, senior managers, and attend several drop-in sessions focusing on engagement, health and wellbeing, and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.

Probationary Period

This post will be subject to a probationary period.

High Cost Area Supplement - Outer London

This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (with a minimum of £4,714 to a maximum of £5,941 per annum, pro rata for part time).
