We currently have an exciting opportunity for a midwife to join our Birth at Home Team. The team is based within Queen Margaret Hospital, Dunfermline, providing care for women and families across Fife.
We seek an enthusiastic and motivated midwife to support women throughout their pregnancy. The role involves providing individualised care to a caseload of women, participating in a 24-hour on-call rota for birth at home, and traveling across Fife. Competency in perineal repair and NIPE would be advantageous.
The Birth at Home Team offers continuity of care during antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal periods. NHS Fife's three community midwifery teams are based at Queen Margaret Hospital (West Fife), Victoria Hospital (Central Fife), and St Andrews Hospital (North East Fife). The team collaborates with these and other multidisciplinary teams to support women and families, considering their individual needs and preferences.
We are a dynamic, progressive, and friendly team operating in a modern setting with approximately 3,500 births annually. Our services include outpatient, community care, a complex care Consultant Unit, and a Midwife Led Unit. We are expanding services in line with the Best Start recommendations, focusing on increasing continuity of care and supporting vulnerable pregnancies, including mental health and bereavement services.
We support your professional growth through our dedicated clinical midwife educator, midwifery PEF, and leadership programmes. We encourage participation in external networking to foster your development.
