Job summary

London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust invites applications from experienced Band 6 midwives to join our maternity team, with the ability to practise autonomously across antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal care.

We support professional and personal development, offer flexible areas of work, and encourage development in your specialist interests. You will coordinate care for women and babies in hospital and community settings and contribute to on-call home birth services.

Qualifications

• Registered midwife with the ability to practise autonomously across antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal care.
• Experience coordinating care for women/birthing people and families within hospital and community settings.
• Ability to deputise on the ward/department in the absence of the senior midwife.

Responsibilities

• You will be an experienced registered midwife with the ability to practise autonomously when providing care to women/birthing people during the antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal period and will be the coordinating care provider for women, birthing people and their families.
• Work as a member of the team providing maternity care to women/birthing people within the hospital and community.
• Depose on the ward or department in the absence of the senior midwife.
• In the community setting you will take responsibility for coordinating the care pathways and participate in the on call service to provide a homebirth service.
