Job summary

Transport for London invites applications for the Engineering & Technology Graduate Scheme, based in London with hybrid working. The two-year programme features diverse placements across electrical, electronic, systems, and mechatronic engineering, aligned with TfL's decarbonisation goals.

You will rotate through up to eight three-month placements, supported by a sponsor, mentor, and buddy. Successful candidates must have the right to work in the UK; visa sponsorship is not offered.

Qualifications

• Must hold or be on track to achieve a minimum of 2:2 BEng/BSc or MEng/MSc in electrical, electronic, systems or mechatronic engineering or a closely related IET-accredited subject.
• Offer is subject to satisfactory medical including drugs and alcohol screening, eye test, and hearing test.
• Candidates must have the right to work in the UK for the duration of the scheme; sponsorship under Skilled Worker visa is not available.

Responsibilities

• Undertake a range of placements supporting reliable operations and enhancements across TfL engineering disciplines.
• Work in multidisciplinary teams across Transport for London with customers, local government bodies, and consultants.
• Participate in up to eight three-month placements, including maintenance and operations contexts.
• Help translate strategic aims like carbon reduction into concrete engineering projects.

Education

2:2 BEng/BSc or MEng/MSc in electrical, electronic, systems or mechatronic engineering or closely related subject accredited by the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET)
