Job summary

Gateshead Health in the North East of England is seeking a Rotational Band 6 Physiotherapist to deliver a high-quality, patient-centred service across acute and community areas. You will rotate through Emergency Care, Frailty, Cardiology, Community, Critical Care/Surgery, Elderly, Medicine, Respiratory, Stroke and Orthopaedics, gaining broad experience.

You will work autonomously within your scope, contribute to service development, and support junior staff during rotations.

Qualifications

• Hold a degree or equivalent diploma in Physiotherapy.
• Be registered with Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
• Experience in managing acutely unwell patients within the specialty.

Responsibilities

• Act as an experienced autonomous practitioner, providing specialised physiotherapy assessment and treatment.
• Independently manage a caseload, using evidence-based/patient-centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions.
• Deliver care in both acute and community settings.
• Liaise with MDT members to ensure integrated service delivery.
• Provide leadership for more junior staff, as agreed with senior staff.
• Supervise physiotherapy students on clinical placements.
