Job summary

Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for a Rotational Occupational Therapist (Band 6). The nine‑month rotation covers Cancer and Palliative Care, Emergency Medicine, Surgery, Hospital at Home, Medicine - Complex Care, Acute Stroke and Frailty Front Door Service.

The role provides clinical autonomy with opportunities to lead and develop within the Adult Therapies Team, including supervision, service development and project management.

Qualifications

• Diploma/degree in Occupational Therapy is required.
• HCPC registration is essential.
• Evidence of recent professional development is expected.
• RCOT membership is desirable.
• Training in clinical supervision is preferred.
• Quality improvement training is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide OT assessments and interventions to maximise independence and rehabilitation plans.
• Promote acute rehabilitation within rotation areas and oversee daily OT activity.
• Supervise OT staff, some junior physiotherapists, and OT students/apprentices.
