Job summary

Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our Band 6 rotational scheme. You will work across hospital sites and in the community, delivering high quality OT services and supporting patient independence.

You will take on teaching and supervision of peers, junior staff and students, contributing to our in-service training programme and collaborating with Band 7/8a leads to develop your clinical leadership in acute care

Qualifications

• Broad acute inpatient experience at Band 5 or above.
• Experience at Band 6 level is desirable.
• Ability to work without supervision and supervise others.

Responsibilities

• Through a holistic approach, to provide a high standard of Occupational Therapy service, facilitating and maximising patient potential within the service boundaries.
• To participate in the Band 6 rotational scheme, this involves working across both sites and in the community.
• To fulfil a teaching and supervisory role with peers, junior staff and students on placement.
