Main duties of the job

Occupational Therapy at LNWUH NHS Trust is a therapeutic discipline that aims to provide person-centred, evidence-based assessment and interventions that promote independence and quality of life following illness, injury, or disability. An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit a Band 5 Occupational Therapist to join the rotational scheme within the Trust.

This role offers variety and exposure as you rotate across various Trust hospitals (Northwick Park, Ealing, and Central Middlesex) and disciplines every 5 months. It's ideal for a Band 5 occupational therapist wanting to broaden horizons, gain new skills, and become a strong OT. The rotations available include:

  • Trauma and Orthopaedics (including introduction to Hand Therapy)
  • Medicine (Cardiology, Respiratory, and Endocrinology)
  • Surgical and Vascular (including Amputee management)
  • Elderly Medicine
  • Neurology (Hyper Acute Stroke Unit and Community Early Supported Stroke Discharge Team)
  • Elective orthopaedics & Specialist Gastroenterological surgery
  • Acute Medical Units
  • Early Supported Discharge Team (STARRS)
