Job summary

Chestergates Veterinary Specialists offers a 12-month rotating internship near Chester. You will work under supervisors across anaesthesia, internal medicine, orthopaedics, soft tissue, and more, including out-of-hours practice to build emergency care skills.

The programme emphasises formal and informal learning through seminars, journal clubs, and clinical reviews, with extensive CPD support from the Knowledge Hub and collaboration with CVS Ltd.

Qualifications

• The ideal applicant has excellent interpersonal and teamworking skills.
• The candidate can stay calm under pressure and work well in a busy environment.
• Membership of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons is required.

Responsibilities

• Work under supervision of specialists across multiple disciplines.
• Participate in out-of-hours first opinion practice to develop ECC skills.
• Engage in journal clubs, seminars, and clinical reviews for learning and development.
• Collaborate with the knowledge hub for CPD and learning support.
