Job summary

Personnel Selection are recruiting two Production Supervisors on behalf of our client in Bognor Regis. Due to rapid expansion and re-structure, we're looking to fill these positions quickly and are keen to hear from candidates with the right combination of manufacturing experience, people management skills, and a positive, hands‑on approach to leadership.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory or team leader experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Willing to undertake job-specific and machine-specific training.
• Strong understanding of health and safety procedures.
• Good IT and administration skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support production staff during your shift.
• Ensure production schedules and service level agreements are met.
• Allocate labour and resources effectively to maximise efficiency.
• Monitor daily production performance and identify improvement opportunities.
• Complete production reporting and system checks.
• Record production output, work-in-progress and performance metrics accurately.
• Ensure effective communication during shift handover.
• Promote and maintain a strong health and safety culture.
• Carry out daily safety inspections and complete all associated documentation.
• Ensure correct PPE usage across the workforce.
• Report machine breakdowns and quality concerns through established procedures.
• Support planned preventative maintenance activities.
• Maintain excellent housekeeping standards throughout the facility.
• Administer attendance, sickness and absence reporting.
• Maintain staff rotas and workforce planning schedules.
• Support employee inductions, training and development programmes.
• Assist with employee performance management and team development.
• Undertake additional duties as required to support operational needs.
