Job summary

Eurofins Linlithgow is seeking a Laboratory Support Assistant to join the Food Microbiology team. This full-time role involves preparing samples for incubation, assisting with culture media prep, and helping maintain a clean, well-organised lab.

You will work a 40-hour week on a rotating pattern (Mon-Sun, 08:30–19:30) and contribute to quality checks, waste disposal, and daily lab housekeeping, while following Eurofins quality systems.

Qualifications

• ,To work alone or as part of a team.
• Knowledge of routine lab workings and importance of a clean lab.

Responsibilities

• Prepare samples for incubation as trained in your area.
• Assist in preparation of microbiological culture media and record QC/Performance checks.
• Carry out other functions in support of the Food Microbiology department.
• Maintain housekeeping in line with Cleaning Schedules and documents.
• Dispose of laboratory waste per procedures and report unsafe practices.
