Qualificações

• Time-served Mechanical Fitter apprenticeship or equivalent engineering qualification.
• Experience in mechanical assembly, heavy engineering or manufacturing environments.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Experience using hand tools, air tools and precision measuring equipment.

Responsabilidades

• Assemble steam turbines, gas compressors and gearbox systems to drawings and specs.
• Fit, align and install mechanical components, sub-assemblies and rotating equipment.
• Carry out shaft alignment, gears/gearboxes assembly, and installation of linkage and control systems.
• Use measuring equipment and precision fitting techniques to achieve tolerances.
• Support hydrostatic and functional testing of equipment.
• Identify and resolve build/test issues with engineering/quality teams.
• Liaise with design, stores and other departments to ensure smooth project execution.
• Complete route cards, job documentation and time recording accurately.
• Prepare equipment for shipment: protection, preservation, labeling and packing.
• Maintain safe, clean and organized working environment; follow safety procedures.
• Contribute ideas for continuous improvement and support colleagues as needed.
