Job Description Rotating Equipment | Oil & Gas | 2/2 Rotation onshore | East of England

We are seeking a Rotating Equipment Engineer to join a high-performing maintenance team within a major oil & gas operator. The role is based at a key UK gas terminal, with travel across onshore and offshore assets as needed. The primary focus is on maximizing the availability and reliability of high-speed rotating equipment such as gas turbines, compressors, and generator sets.

You will be responsible for planned maintenance, work scopes, performance monitoring, and failure analysis across a diverse fleet. Your duties will include managing vendors and engaging in strategy development, diagnostics, and continuous improvement.

Equipment you will work with includes:

  • Siemens SGT-600, SGT-A35, and SGT-100-2S
  • Ruston TB5400s
  • Solar Centaur 40
  • Howden screw compressors
  • Dresser Rand centrifugal compressors

We are looking for candidates with:

  • Strong knowledge of high-speed rotating machinery, both theoretical and practical
  • An engineering degree or HND/HNC (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience managing overhauls, vendor relationships, and maintenance planning
  • A proactive, safety-first approach and a passion for enhancing equipment reliability

The setup:

  • Bacton gas terminal with field-based travel
  • 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off shift rotation, predominantly onshore
  • Permanent position with promising development prospects
