Our clients, a high-profile family based in Chelsea, are seeking a professional and experienced Rota Nanny for their 3 year old little girl.

This is a 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off rota position, providing 24/7 care. The family spend 60% of their time in the UK, 25% in Italy, with the rest internationally.

All general Nanny duties will apply, and you will be responsible for the following:

  • Preparing healthy and nutritious meals for the Child
  • Planning of age-appropriate educational activities both inside and outside the home and agreeing these plans in advance with the Child’s parents
  • Teaching & improving the Child’s German language
  • Supervision and arrangement of play dates/activities
  • Accompanying the Child to nursery, school or other activities
  • Ensuring toys are hygienically clean and tidy; as well as the child’s rooms and playroom
  • Ensuring the safety and security of the Child
  • Taking the Child to the doctor/health centre for check-ups, appointments or vaccinations if required
  • Occasional shopping for the Child (food, medicines etc); and keeping an account of expenses and managing a small petty cash float
  • Having good communication with the parents at all times, as well as preparing handovers to the Child’s parents
  • Work flexibly with the other Nanny to provide appropriate care to the Child

The ideal candidate with be MT/fluent in German, along with a good level of education – whether that be degree educated, or hold CACHE, NVQ or Early Years qualifications. If German isn’t your first language, you must be confident enough to teach/fully submerse the little girl in the language.

It is a MUST that you possess the following:

  • Native/Fluent German speaker
  • Energetic, bright, bubbly and enthusiastic
  • Patient and caring personality
  • Willing to travel - the family travel excessively
  • Glowing references
  • First Aid Trained
  • Comfortable with animals as the Child has a dog (18 month old Beagle)

The family have a team of domestic staff to ensure the smooth running of their household. You will also be working in rotation with another Nanny - so it is key that you have good communication skills and are a team player.
