Rosherville Group, Gravesham Borough Council’s Local Authority Trading Company, seeks a Commercial Manager to lead commercial activity across the group, driving revenue growth, business development and new markets while upholding public value commitments.

You will collaborate with the Board, subsidiary companies and external partners to maximise commercial performance, govern risk and ensure robust governance, customer relationships and sustainable indicators.

This Commercial Manager post sits within the Rosherville Group, the Local Authority Trading Company group of subsidiary businesses run by Gravesham Borough Council. The work is to lead commercial activity across the group, including business development, revenue growth, customer relationships and new markets, in step with its public value commitments. Part time and job share will be considered, and the post works closely with the Board, council stakeholders and external partners. Candidates need public sector experience and a relevant business degree.

Skills & knowledge

• In-depth knowledge of business development, financial management of projects and customer management
• Strong financial acumen, including business case development and commercial modelling
• Ability to balance commercial ambition with public value and governance requirements
