Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking an IRATA Level 2 Technician to join our window cleaning team serving commercial and residential properties around Manchester. The role focuses on rope-access cleaning tasks with potential gutter work and surveys, under supervision from a Level 3 Technician.

The ideal candidate holds an IRATA Level 2 certificate and has prior window cleaning experience at height, with a strong commitment to safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• Ability to work at height and use rope-access equipment safely.
• Must have Right to Work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Carry out works scheduled in a timely, safe manner.
• May be required to drive company vehicles.
• Work safely under supervision of a Level 3 Technician in multi-storey buildings.
• Ensure that all equipment is in safe working order, checked regularly and serviced.
• Report faults to supervisor or management.
• Comply with all Company & Client policies and health & safety regulations.

About The Role

Hours per week: Contracted hours will be 06.00am until 14.00 unless a client requested a slightly later start time.

Specialist Window Cleaning (SWC), part of the OCS Group, are currently recruiting for an IRATA Level 2 Technician to join our team to work on various commercial and residential buildings in and around Manchester. This will predominantly include window cleaning tasks but may also include gutter cleaning, surveys, roof repairs and pest control tasks.

We provide Commercial and Retail clients with industry leading service levels via our highly trained teams who are here to provide the best for our customers, across all sectors.

As an IRATA member company, all rope access work will be supervised by an IRATA Level 3. We encourage development and progression and are looking for the right person to invest in. there are various courses and training programs for the right candidate.

Your key responsibilities

• To carry out works scheduled in a timely, safe manner.


• You may be required to drive company vehicles.


• You will work safely under the supervision of a Level 3 Technician in multi-storey buildings and will experience working at height.


• Ensure that all equipment is in safe working order, checked regularly and serviced.


• Report any faults to supervisor/ management.


• Comply with all Company & Client policies and statutory regulations relating to Health & Safety, safe working practices hygiene, cleanliness, fire and COSHH. This will include your awareness of any specific hazards in your work place. Follow client/company guidelines with regards to the identification and reporting of health and safety hazards e.g., blocked/locked fire doors.

• All cleaning and hygiene standards to meet service specification


• Deliver a consistent level of service, within the Company's standards, to the contract specification and agreed performance levels.


• Comply with Company and statutory regulations relating to safe systems of work, health & safety, hygiene, cleanliness, fire and COSHH.

The ideal candidate should meet the following criteria

• You must have Right to Work in the UK.


• We are looking for a keen, hardworking individual with a can-do attitude who also understands the importance of safety.


• You will hold an IRATA Level 2 certificate


• You will have experience in window cleaning and in working at height on commercial properties
