Job summary

Quanta Contracts Ltd is seeking a highly qualified Health & Safety Site Manager / Rope Access Supervisor for a dedicated 2-week fixed-term contract to oversee rope access cleaning works at a major manufacturing facility in Northampton. You will assume full ownership from RAMS approval to daily execution of high-risk permits, with on-site supervision, toolbox talks, exclusion zones and risk control.

Essential qualifications include NEBOSH National General Certificate and IRATA Level 3, plus SMSTS

Qualifications

Strong leadership capabilities to interface between client site management and contracting team.
Experience managing Permit to Work (PTW) systems in heavy industrial environments.

Responsibilities

Safety Management: Enforce Safe Systems of Work (SSoW) for the entire cleaning project.
Documentation & Approval: Review, refine, and formally approve RAMS.
Permit to Work (PTW): Coordinate, issue, and manage high-risk permits using the client’s system.
On-Site Supervision: Provide full-time on-site presence, conduct toolbox talks, manage exclusion zones, monitor risks.
Team Oversight: Ensure rope access technicians work per IRATA guidelines and site safety parameters.
