Job summary

3t Training Services (UK) is seeking a Rope Access Instructor to deliver IRATA Rope Access courses at Teesside centres, working a 40-hour week from 7:30am to 4:00pm, Monday to Friday. The role requires robust technical knowledge, coaching ability and commitment to health and safety.

You will lead course delivery, provide expert guidance, and support trainees while helping expand course offerings in a safety‑conscious environment. A favourable benefits package accompanies permanent employment.

Qualifications

  • IRATA Rope Access Level 3 is essential and applicants should be working towards L3I.
  • Level 3 teacher training and assessor’s award desirable.
  • Level 3 First Aid at Work required or willing to complete during probation.
  • DBS check is required as part of safeguarding.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver IRATA Rope Access courses at 3t training centres.
  • Provide technical coaching and guidance to trainees.
  • Convey information clearly and explain rationale to learners.
  • Support customers during course delivery and gather feedback.
  • Contribute to development of new courses and training standards.
  • Ensure adherence to 3t quality, safety, and operational procedures.

Job description

This role is contracted at 40 hours per week. The standard working pattern will be 7.30am to 4.00pm, Monday to Friday.

The Role

To deliver 3t’s approved suite of courses within the given technical subject area at 3t training centres in a consistent, professional way which reflects 3t’s business integrity and culture.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Deliver courses as required in line with 3t and accrediting body requirements.
  • Use a wide range and depth of technical or specialised knowledge, providing technical leadership and expert advice.
  • Convey information fluently, interpreting and clarifying details and explaining rationale.
  • Support customers during course delivery as appropriate.
  • Obtain positive customer feedback following course completion in line with KPIs set within personal development plan.
  • Participate in standardisation and continuing professional development events as required.
  • Provide support to trainee and existing Instructor/Assessors as appropriate.
  • Support department growth through technical input to new courses, training standards, customer meetings and the continual improvement of existing courses.
  • Demonstrate excellent organisational and time‑management skills.
  • Demonstrate a personal commitment to Health, Safety and the Environment.
  • Apply 3t and, where appropriate, Client's HSE Policies and Procedures.
  • Ensure that all 3t quality and operational procedures are adhered to at all times.

Qualifications
  • Level 3 teacher training and assessor’s award (desirable).
  • IRATA Rope Access Level 3 (essential), preferably L3I or working towards.
  • Level 3 First Aid at Work (or willing to complete during probation).

  • IRATA Rope Access.
  • Other related short courses as required.
