The Room Trainer’s role is to ensure that all employees are properly and efficiently trained and integrated into the company at the required levels, ensuring that operational tasks are performed correctly, safely, and up to the required standards. On a typical working day, the Trainer spends the majority of their time in production areas.

Additionally, the Room Trainer collaborates with the Departmental Manager and Training team to ensure business compliance and employee competence by providing technical training on company procedures.

The Room Trainer’s role is to ensure that all employees are properly and efficiently trained and integrated into the company at the required levels, ensuring that operational tasks are performed correctly, safely, and up to the required standards. On a typical working day, the Trainer spends the majority of their time in production areas.

Additionally, the Room Trainer collaborates with the Departmental Manager and Training team to ensure business compliance and employee competence by providing technical training on company procedures.



Main Responsibilities:
  • Train all company and agency colleagues on the lines in the production areas, ensure all staff understand their job responsibilities.
  • Train all company and agency colleagues on company procedures, ensure they are signed off fully on the required company documentation including Technical Procedures, Standard Operational Procedures (SOPs), Toolbox Talks etc.
  • Monitoring all the new employees through their 24-week trial period, provide feedback and support when required.
  • Deliver Company Induction and mandatory classroom courses including Level 2 Food Safety, Level 1 H&S, annual Refreshers etc.

During the absences of other Trainers and/or additional support is required to cover their responsibilities. This includes learning tasks outside your usual area to ensure that training and support are always provided to all employees. Able to cover the site induction during the Training Coordinator absences including delivery of other soft-landing classroom courses.

  • Knowledge and experience within food manufacturing environments.
  • Good working knowledge of allergen awareness, food safety, H&S, and food manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent people skills.
  • Good communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Positive “can do” attitude.
  • Self-motivated with an ability to work within a team or on own.
