Job Description: Room Manager at Wembley Park Montessori

Wembley Park Montessori is seeking an experienced Baby Unit Manager to join their warm and friendly nursery of 36 places. This is a full-time role, working 40 hours per week across shifts between 8am-6pm, with at least one half-day off per week.

Salary: £24,960 - £30,000 per annum, dependent on experience.

Responsibilities include:

• Leading and collaborating with the team to ensure smooth nursery operations
• Caring for children, meeting their personal and hygiene needs
• Ensuring children are happy, settled, and content
• Observing, assessing, and planning to meet individual developmental needs
• Maintaining compliance with legislation, EYFS, and Ofsted requirements
• Familiarity with nursery policies and procedures
• Engaging with parents and building secure relationships
• Using the nursery app "Blossom Educational" (training provided)
• Deputising for the Manager when necessary

Candidate requirements:

• Minimum Level 3 in Childcare or Montessori Diploma
• Previous experience leading a nursery room with children under 5
• Knowledge of EYFS and Montessori principles (desired but not essential)
• Excellent communication skills
• Positive role model and team player
• Current DBS clearance
