Job summary

Kids Planet Day Nurseries Ltd. Urmston is seeking a Room Leader to cover maternity leave and lead a room with high‑quality care and education in line with EYFS.

You will support and guide the team, foster a positive environment, and build strong relationships with children and families while maintaining safeguarding commitments. Level 3 qualification and EYFS knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Must hold UK Level 3 early years qualification and be confident with EYFS guidance.
• Strong safeguarding knowledge and practices.
• Leadership experience is desirable to support room team and develop staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a room within the nursery, ensuring high‑quality care and education in line with EYFS.
• Support and guide the team to foster a positive, collaborative environment and promote professional development.
• Build strong relationships with children and families to meet individual needs and learning goals.

How you'll make a difference as a Room Leader:

• By leading and managing a room within the nursery, ensuring high-quality care and education in line with the EYFS.
• Through supporting and guiding the team, fostering a positive, collaborative environment and promoting professional development.
• Through building strong relationships with children and families, ensuring each child's individual needs are met and their learning is supported.

What a Room Leader needs:

• Must be at least Level 3 qualified in a UK recognised early years qualification.
• Excellent understanding of EYFS.
• Extensive knowledge of safeguarding children.
• Leadership experience desirable.
