Pay: £13.75 - £14.00 per hour, based on experience ( 40 hours per week ).

Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week

Location: Stowmarket Day Nursery, 12 Bury Street, Stowmarket, Suffolk, IP14 1HW / Stowmarket Pre-school, Ivy House, Station Road East, Stowmarket, Suffolk, IP14 1RQ (depending on your preffered age/skills)

About Our Nursery

Our Stowmarket Nursery is conveniently located in the centre of Stowmarket within Union Street West car park, just off Gipping Way Road, a community nursery where our children flourish. Stowmarket children start their journey here at our Stowmarket Day Nursery and then progress to our pre-school, which is on the same site. Our setting is perfectly sized so that children are in small groups and can develop at their own pace. The nursery has two rooms with an inside garden and plenty of opportunity to play outside and explore the world around them in the town on our trips out.

What Being a Nursery Room Leader Involves

As a Nursery Room Leader, you will work alongside the Nursery Manager to lead and inspire your team while delivering exceptional care and education. Key responsibilities include:

• Leading and mentoring the team to provide high-quality early years education with passion and energy.
• Supporting the Nursery Manager to ensure smooth nursery operations and consistent quality.
• Acting as a role model by promoting initiative, creativity, and high standards of care.
• Building strong relationships with families, colleagues, and external agencies to support the best outcomes for children.
• Overseeing the teams implementation of the EYFS framework, ensuring engaging learning opportunities.
• Taking charge of nursery operations in the Nursery Managers absence.
• Encouraging continuous improvement through feedback and supporting professional development.
• Maintaining a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment that meets each childs needs.
