Job summary

Bright Horizons Portswood Day Nursery in Portswood, Southampton, is seeking a Room Leader to guide a team of practitioners and deliver exceptional care and education for children in our room.

You will promote child welfare, health and safety, safeguarding, and strong partnerships with colleagues and families to meet each child’s needs.

The role requires a full and relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification and prior experience in an Early Years setting, ideally as a Room Leader.

Qualifications

• Level 3+ Early Years qualification (or above) is required.
• Experience in an Early Years setting, preferably as Room Leader, Nursery Nurse, or similar.
• Strong understanding of EYFS and safeguarding requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and inspire a team to deliver high-quality care and education.
• Maintain child welfare, health and safety across the room.
• Build strong partnerships with parents and colleagues to meet each child’s needs.
