Job summary

Kids Planet Kirkby is seeking a Room Leader to lead a room within our nursery, delivering high-quality care and education in line with the EYFS. You will guide a supportive team, foster a positive learning environment and build strong relationships with children and families.

We require at least a UK Level 3 early years qualification, a solid EYFS understanding and safeguarding knowledge. We offer enhanced leave, training through KP Academy, and a friendly central support team to help you thrive.

Qualifications

• UK Level 3 early years qualification (or equivalent).
• Strong understanding of the EYFS framework.
• Solid safeguarding knowledge and commitment to child welfare.
• Leadership experience in a childcare setting is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a room within the nursery to ensure high-quality care and education in line with EYFS.
• Support and guide team members to promote a positive, collaborative environment and professional development.
• Build strong relationships with children and families to meet individual learning needs.

How you'll make a difference as a Room Leader:

• By leading and managing a room within the nursery, ensuring high-quality care and education in line with the EYFS.
• Through supporting and guiding the team, fostering a positive, collaborative environment and promoting professional development.
• Through building strong relationships with children and families, ensuring each child's individual needs are met and their learning is supported.

What a Room Leader needs:

• Must be at least Level 3 qualified in a UK recognised early years qualification.
• Excellent understanding of EYFS.
• Extensive knowledge of safeguarding children.
• Leadership experience desirable.
