Job Description:

A lovely nursery inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy and Montessori pedagogy. The nursery recently opened and is in the early stages of expansion. The staff are passionate about children's development and encourage self-development within the team. The environment is designed to inspire independence and curiosity, following a child-centred curriculum that promotes development of the whole child and individual interests.

We are seeking a qualified Level 3 Practitioner to support children’s early education and development, plan and provide effective care, teaching, and learning. Responsibilities include promoting progress, assessment, safeguarding, and working in partnership with colleagues, parents, and professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and promote policies ensuring compliance with the Early Years Foundation Stage.
• Support children’s development and individual needs.
• Use assessments effectively.
• Develop informed practice.
• Safeguard and promote children’s health, safety, and welfare.
• Collaborate with key persons, colleagues, parents, and other professionals.

Requirements:

• Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience in a nursery setting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Passion for working with children and providing high-quality care and education.
• Ability to complete an enhanced DBS check.

Your new role

As a Nursery Practitioner, you will support daily nursery operations, assist children’s learning, and contribute to a positive environment. The role is full-time, 40 hours per week, between 8am and 6pm, with flexible working options discussed. The nursery operates 51 weeks per year and offers a permanent position with an immediate start.
