Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Room Leader to join a renowned childcare organisation.

This full-time role offers a salary of £28,490 for a 37-hour week and £32,050 for a 41.62-hour week, plus benefits.

As a Room Leader, you will:

  1. nurture children's growth, implement the EYFS curriculum, and create a secure educational environment.
  2. Lead the designated space, collaborating with the nursery manager to deliver exceptional care and education.
  3. Manage your team professionally, fostering support, clear expectations, and a positive work environment.
  4. Maintain confidentiality and oversee accurate record-keeping, including child records and team supervision.
  5. Lead weekly team meetings, ensuring effective communication and dissemination of relevant information.
  6. Act as a role model, staying updated on legislation and frameworks, and promoting continuous improvement within the nursery.

What we are looking for:

  • Experience as a Room Leader, Third in Charge, Deputy Manager, Assistant Room Manager, Nursery Practitioner, or similar role.
  • Ideally, 2 years' experience leading a room.
  • NVQ Level 3 in early years qualification.
  • Demonstrable leadership and management skills.
  • First aid trained, with a sound understanding of safeguarding and the EYFS.
