Job summary

Bright Horizons Chineham Park Day Nursery and Preschool in Basingstoke is seeking a Room Leader to inspire a team and deliver exceptional care and education across five age-group rooms. You will champion child welfare, health and safety, safeguarding, and strong partnerships with parents and professionals.

Qualifications

• Full and relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification.
• Experience in Early Years setting, preferably as Room Leader or similar.
• Strong EYFS knowledge.
• Understanding of Safeguarding and Child Protection.
• Ability to build trust with colleagues and parents.

Nursery – Bright Horizons Chineham Park Day Nursery and Preschool

Salary – Starting from £29,612.90 per annum (dependent on qualification/s and experience)

We’re looking for a Room Leader to join our Chineham park nursery.

The nursery is located on Chineham Business Park well served by bus routes: 6, 7, 655, 656 & 657. The setting is open Monday to Friday 7.30am – 6pm and offers childcare to 125 children between the ages of 3 months to 5 years, set out over five different rooms, each tailored to a different age group.

The Role

As a Room Leader, you will lead, mentor, support, and inspire a team to deliver exception care and education, to help all children within the room to develop and meet their individual milestones. You will promote and ensure child welfare, health and safety, and safeguarding, and maintain strong partnerships with colleagues, parents, and other professionals to meet each child’s needs.

What We’re Looking For

• Full and relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification
• Previous experience working within an Early Years setting – ideally as a Room Leader, Nursery Nurse, Nursery Practitioner, Early Years Educator or similar
• Passion for creating fun and inclusive learning environments
• Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
• Strong knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding, Child Protection, and the wider legislative requirements for working with children
• Ability to develop trust and strong working partnerships with both colleagues and parents/ carers
• Ability to use a variety of communication techniques with both children and adults
