Job description

We are seeking a Room Attendant for Eastwood Hall, part of The Venues Collection.

£12.60 Per Hour

Contract - Zero Hours

As a Room Attendant, you will ensure all hotel bedrooms, corridors, and public areas are cleaned, prepared, and maintained to the highest standards.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Service rooms allocated by the housekeeper to the standards specified in the Housekeeping Standards.
  • Carry out routine and periodic cleaning in allocated areas, as directed by Supervisors.
  • Strictly adhere to all COSHH regulations pertaining to cleaning chemicals.
  • Report maintenance faults in rooms to the Housekeeper management.
  • Keep corridors clean and dispose of dirty linen, trays, and equipment safely.
  • Report missing items, e.g., bathrobes, extra blankets, to the Floor Housekeeper.
  • Pass on guest requests to the Housekeeper management.
  • Report guest illness to the Housekeeper management.
  • Report any suspected smoking in bedrooms to the Supervisor.
  • Hand in lost property to the Housekeeper management, ensuring valuables are kept safe.
  • Report suspicious persons and keep guest rooms locked at all times.
  • Deliver items to guest bedrooms as required, e.g., laundry and dry cleaning.
  • Assist public area cleaners if needed.

  • Maintain the correct uniform standard and adhere to hotel policies and procedures.
  • Attend staff meetings to understand hotel and department objectives.
  • Work as part of the team to achieve hotel goals.
  • Be familiar with hotel services and facilities.
  • Attend daily briefings and organize tasks efficiently.
  • Act professionally and politely with guests, using positive body language.
  • Check customer satisfaction and address further needs.
Training & Development
  • Attend daily training sessions to enhance personal development and role performance.
  • Participate in fire, hygiene, health & safety training, applying knowledge in the workplace.
Health & Safety
  • Follow health & safety procedures, including fire evacuation protocols.
  • Ensure proper procedures when entering guest rooms.
  • Report accidents and hazards promptly.
  • Keep all personal and guest information confidential.
  • Manage hotel keys responsibly.
  • Comply with relevant legislation and policies.
