Job summary

Engel & Jang - Parent is seeking a Chef de Partie for our rooftop kitchen at The Gantry, Stratford, East London. You will lead your section, craft high-quality dishes and contribute to both restaurant service and events in a vibrant, growing team.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar role.
• Strong culinary skills and excellent attention to detail.
• A genuine passion for producing great food.
• A proactive, positive and team-focused approach.
• Strong organisation and time-management skills.
• The ability to perform well in a busy, fast-paced kitchen.
• High standards of food safety, hygiene and cleanliness.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and present dishes to a consistently high standard.
• Take ownership of your section, ensuring it is organised and fully prepared for service.
• Work across restaurant service and/or event preparation and production, depending on your role.
• Deliver high-quality food efficiently for both restaurant service and larger-scale events.
• Follow recipes, portion controls and presentation standards.
• Work closely with senior chefs and the wider kitchen team to deliver smooth, successful services.
• Maintain excellent food safety, hygiene and kitchen standards.
• Manage stock carefully, minimise waste and ensure ingredients are stored and rotated correctly.
• Support junior members of the kitchen team when required.
• Stay calm, organised and hands-on during busy services and production periods.
