An established industry player is seeking a dedicated QA Technician to oversee the quality of roofing system installations. This remote role, with travel to sites, requires a minimum of five years of hands-on experience in installing flat roof waterproofing systems. The ideal candidate will work closely with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards. You'll produce detailed inspection reports, manage projects using a CRM system, and contribute to staff training. NOTE: This is a remote position including travel to sites. You can be based anywhere within the south east or London.
The QA Technician plays a key role in overseeing the on-site installation quality of roofing systems within their assigned region. This position involves monitoring installation works, providing detailed reports, and advising on best practices to ensure consistent quality and compliance.
Candidates should have a minimum of five years' hands-on experience installing flat roof waterproofing systems, including Reinforced Bitumen Membranes (RBM), Single Ply, Liquid Applied Systems, Hot Melt, Green Roofs, and Blue Roofs.
In addition to site-based responsibilities, the QA Technician will support the clients internal technical and office teams by sharing their expertise in system application. They will also assist the clients accredited contractor network , as well as clients such as surveyors, architects, and main contractors, by providing technical guidance and installation support.
The QA Technician reports directly to the Quality Assurance Manager and Director, working collaboratively with the wider QA team, technical sales staff, and other departments across the company.
Regular communication with approved contractors and key stakeholders is a fundamental part of this role. The QA Technician ensures all waterproofing systems and components are installed in full accordance with the project specifications, current British Standards, and industry best practices.
