About Us: Tamaris Roofing Ltd is a roofing and waterproofing contractor that is experiencing a period of rapid growth and becoming a well respected organisation in the field. This growth, we believe, is down to the fact that we are delivering projects to a high standard on time repeatedly. Our customer focus is an integral part of our values and, as a result, we are winning repeat business and recommendations. We are running multiple projects currently in London and the South East region. We cover commercial and residential newbuild and refurbishment and specialise in all roofing and waterproofing methods. These methods include torch on felt, single-ply membrane, hot and cold melt roofing systems along with blue and green roofs. The offices are new and spacious with parking available on site.

Role Description

We are looking for someone to join and grow with us, contributing to our company's success and dynamic. For that, we are willing to offer a fantastic salary, negotiable depending on previous experience, plus generous bonuses/profit share.

The Role:

• Day-to-day management of the site and all roofing operatives
• Take responsibility for all roofing operatives and solve problems as they arise
• Ensure and maintain the highest level of workmanship at all times
• Ensure that the correct levels of on-site materials are constantly maintained, requesting material orders when required
• Arrange access to the on-site crane and hoist when needed for crucial deliveries
• Identify any out-of-sequence works that require additional site instructions and liaise with Head Office and the client accordingly
• Attend progress meetings and design meetings
• Prepare forecasting reports
• Meet with clients
• Ensure Health & Safety standards are constantly kept to the highest standard
• Submit health & safety reports both ad-hoc and on a weekly basis
• Liaise daily with Directors and office staff as required
• Assist head office with information required to submit monthly valuations of works completed
• Based from head office, a mixture of pre and post-contract site visits as required

What you'll need to succeedis a proven track record in contract management in construction, ideally with a roofing background.

You will be able to demonstrate the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently and manage time effectively as this will be key to running multiple projects under tight deadlines.

You will need to be able to utilise the technology available to you, such as the Microsoft Suite and mobile apps, especially Excel, One Drive and Outlook.

Exceptional negotiation skills are required, focusing on favourable outcomes for all parties concerned.

Strong leadership skills are required to guide the contract through completion smoothly, with effective verbal and written communication in order to convey complex information clearly and concisely.

Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem solving is also a key requirement for this role.

This role will involve being in the office and travelling to sites, so a full driving licence is required for the role.

We are looking for at least 1 year of contract management experience and at least 3 years flat roofing experience due to the nature of the business.

• Extensive knowledge of roofing products and material selection (knowledge of Axter, Radmat, IKO, etc. is desirable)
• The ability to hit the ground running
• The highest level of professionalism
• Clear and strong communication skills
• Confidence and the ability to work on their own initiative
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
