Job summary

Mears in the United Kingdom is seeking a Roofer for a full-time permanent role in Aylesham. You will carry out general roofing repairs across occupied and void properties, including tiles, felt, and flashings, with a focus on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Roofing experience in residential settings.
• Experience with social housing projects.

Responsibilities

• General roofing repairs across occupied and void properties.
• Replacement of roof tiles, felt roofing, and wooden battens.
• Chimney repairs and replacements.
• Installation and repair of flat roofs, including felt and asphalt systems.
• Lead work including flashings, soakers, and valley gutters.
• Repair and installation of ridge tiles, verge tiles, and hip tiles.
• Guttering and downpipe repairs and replacements.
• Fascia, soffit, and barge board installation and maintenance.
• Roof insulation works to joists and rafters.
• Emergency call-outs to fix storm damage or leaks.
• Accurate recording of materials used and time spent on jobs.
• Liaising with tenants and site supervisors to minimise disruption.
